Rain*

Rain should be seen in silver beads,
threaded on soft, dark hair.

It should be breathed in, off skin,
in the nook of a neck.

It should be felt, fingertip to raisined fingertip
Its trail, tracing furrows down a chest.

It should be tasted, teased,

sipped off smokey lips.

Heard, whispered,
against the sound of your name.

Addendum: It should be banned, for moving souls like me,
to poetry.

*Ladies and gentlemen, exhibit (a) of GP. And you can't say I didn't warn you - that profile's been up for ages now.

I disagree....is good poetry, velly velly good poetry. Simple, unpretentious and spontaneous.

Ah. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ... your 'Goddess', perchance?

??!, you're wrong about one part of Falstaff. He IS good ...

Smithy: Well *I* cringed when I read it, but then reasoned that if not my blogger friends, who can I inflict it on? :D

But shucks, you're sweet!

Diviya: The rains, they do that to you, don't they? :)

??!: Erm...thank you. Falstaff, however, is in a *whole* different league y'know?

Ph: Woman, you have high tolerance for pain. I bet you refused an epi...you did, didn't you?!

J.A.P.: Well, 'twasn't the intention but that's an idea! As for my goddess, she *rocks*.

agreed that the rain does that to you but why 'am not churning out poems like you do? :)

ahh, seem to be misinterpreted here. what one meant was that the poets are good, but start off with "you will all hate this, and i'm so terrible, but what the heck, i've written it, so i might as well inflict it on you, but don't hate me" prelude.
one does not deny their good-ness.

Sougata: You're back! And being that-adjective-which-shall-not-be-named.

Chimera: Kim, *one* measly pome is hardly 'churning'. If you're inclined to though, utter and complete soppiness works for me! :D

??!: Ah! 'tis the season for misinterpretations, it seems. :)

You know, your handle makes it awfully difficult to address you. Does one refer to you as 'Question mark Question mark Exclamation mark'? Q2E perhaps?
